CES has earned the distinction of being the only private sector company to have undertaken petroleum geology and reservoir study on the acreage in exploration blocks of Bangladesh in collaboration with Corelab/BAPEX/Petrobangla.

Cosmos has obtained a license for setting up a bonded warehouse which is the first of its kind for storage of materials and equipment for oil and gas industry with joint venture with a foreign company to establish the supply base in Chittagong .

CES has been actively associated with the Power Sector in Bangladesh . It maintains close relationship with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDP), Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (DESA), Rural Electrification Board (REB), Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd (PGCB) and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO). The company built a 10 MW Gas Engine Power Plant for Scan Cement Factory in Bangladesh under joint venture with Rolls Royce Power Venture Co, UK as the first Captive Independent Power Producer in the country. Cosmos Energy Services is the first organization in Bangladesh to attain ISO 900 1-2000 Certification in respect of 0 & M of Captive Power Plant. CES was involved in construction of 60 MW power plant at Mymensingh for Rural Power Company (RPC) in collaboration with Mitsui and Kinso Matachi , Japan . It was also involved in construction of first and largest 230-132 KV 340 MVA sub-station at Rampura for Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) in collaboration with Mahkota Technology SND, BHD Malaysia.
