Cosmos Shipping Lines, the maritime arm of the Cosmos Group, was established in 1980 with the aim of offering efficient agency services to foreign vessels calling at the Bangladesh ports. Since then it has emerged as one of the country’s largest handlers of cargo in terms of tonnage. The company maintains offices at the port cities of Chittagong and Khulna/ Mongla.
Its other functional areas cover ship operators/ owners, charterers’ agents/ brokers, freight forwarders, shipbreakers etc.
Cosmos Shipping Lines have enjoyed 26 years of growth and substantial diversification maintaining high standards of quality and service. Cosmos Shipping provides full service agency representation for its principals. It regularly handles ships from many nations ranging from tankers, bunkers and grain ships to smaller, general cargo or “tramp” vessels.

Nowadays, with global supply-chains connecting cheap workers on one side of the world with rich consumers on the other, good logistics can make all the difference to a company’s ability to serve its customers.
Our expertise in shipping enables us to expedite all types of cargo - breakbulk, containers, drybulk, liquidbulk, steel and project cargo - from vessels to inland consignees. Through our overseas contacts we can provide similar services on out-bound shipments.
