Our social commitment

Cosmos Group of which NB supports talents for higher studies as part of its social commitment. By 1998, Cosmos sponsored awards have been established in such fields as journalism, medicine, engineering and architecture, fine arts, law and business management.

In similar ways, Cosmos Group has been a committed supporter of a variety of community activities in the media, health, charitable and artistic fields.
Cosmos has been a pioneer in promoting a very successful anti-tobacco movement in Bangladesh, especially through ADHUNIK, a recipient of WHO gold medal for 1991-92 and 1992-93.

UNB has recently instituted a trust fund at the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh to promote research and innovative work in science and technology. Also it has instituted Wild Life Trust of Bangladesh and Bangla Mountaineering and Tracking Club, and providing full support to promote its activities as well as to explore the nation's spirit.

In recognition of the evolving nature of the firm, Cosmos Group is a firm believer in an organization's social responsibility towards the community it operates in, and aims to be always a driver of social change in Bangladesh through the scope of its activities both within and outside its business. The fruit of its endeavours is evident throughout the social landscape of Bangladesh, and it aims to further its contribution by always seeking direct opportunities to aid the citizens of Bangladesh in worthwhile ventures.
