For nearly two decades United News of Bangladesh
(UNB), the country's only private sector news agency, has recognized

Over the years UNB has built up an exclusive relationship with the world's largest news agency Associated Press of America for distribution of its extensive international news and financial service. Valuable news exchange partnerships have also been established with many leading international and national agencies' including Reuters and AFP
UNB has stayed in the vanguard of telecommunications technology, from landline to telex, to satellites and facsimile. UNB has always employed the most advanced methods available to need its responsibilities as the nation's premier news and information agency. |

UNB supplies news photos to its client newspapers and the television news, in black and white and color. It receives satellite news-photos from AP and Reuters round the clock with the help of highly sophisticated equipment. |

Graphic
News Service |

In July 1994, UNB started a graphic news service for Bangladesh
newspapers and broadcast networks. Its graphic artists produced 3 to 4 graphic
items a day by using latest computers. These include carts, maps and illustrations
of a broad range of domestic news. |

Computerization

UNB computerized all its operations since November 1988.
UNB's computers can handle bangla and English alphabets. It is linked
by a computerized transmission system. Its performance has earned for
it support of internatonal and UN agencies in technology and human resource
development. |
